Suicide risk and suicidal ideation among physicians in Iran from an integrated motivational volitional perspective

چکیده
Recent reports of physician suicides in Iran, especially following the loss of a well-known doctor, have renewed concern about a serious public health problem associated with burnout and mental health challenges. This Comment uses the integrated motivational-volitional (IMV) model to examine how psychological, environmental, and social factors may combine to affect suicidal thoughts among medical professionals and calls for urgent action.
گزارش‌های اخیر درباره خودکشی پزشکان در ایران، به‌ویژه پس از فوت یک پزشک شناخته‌شده، نگرانی‌ها را نسبت به یک معضل جدی سلامت عمومی که با فرسودگی شغلی و چالش‌های سلامت روان مرتبط است، دوباره مطرح کرده است. این یادداشت با بهره‌گیری از مدل انگیزشی-ارادی یکپارچه (IMV)، بررسی می‌کند که چگونه عوامل روان‌شناختی، محیطی و اجتماعی می‌توانند به صورت ترکیبی بر افکار خودکشی در میان حرفه‌ای‌های پزشکی تأثیرگذار باشند و خواستار اقدام فوری در این زمینه است.
