A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, AND VALUE ORIENTATIONS IN OLDER ADULTS
چکیده
The article presents the content of a psychological program aimed at developing emotional intelligence, interpersonal relationships, and value orientations in older adults, as well as an analysis of its results. The program was developed based on the findings of a preliminary study of the psychological characteristics of older adults. The developmental activities included group discussions, situational tasks, role-playing exercises, narrative materials, and the analysis of personal experiences. The development of emotional intelligence focused primarily on enhancing emotional awareness, emotion regulation, self-motivation, and empathy. To improve interpersonal relationships, S. Karpman's Drama Triangle model was applied to help participants recognize the roles of the “Victim,” “Persecutor,” and “Rescuer” and develop constructive communication skills. The activities aimed at developing value orientations focused on raising awareness of the importance of health, honesty, mutual assistance, independence, responsibility, and tolerance. A comparative analysis of the data from the experimental and control groups made it possible to assess the effectiveness of the program. Research Object: The process of developing emotional intelligence, interpersonal relationships, and value orientations among older adults residing in care and support institutions.
