Conceptual understanding is an important aspect of physics learning, particularly regarding the topic of heat, which students still find difficult to comprehend. Based on preliminary observations at SMAN 2 Tambang, students tend to find it easier to solve problems using formulas rather than explaining the meaning of the concepts being studied. This study aims to determine the implementation and effect of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model assisted by simple media on students' conceptual understanding of heat in class XI senior high school. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of class XI.1 as the experimental group and class XI.7 as the control group, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The experimental group was taught using the CORE learning model assisted by simple media, while the control group received conventional instruction. Conceptual understanding data were obtained through a posttest consisting of 15 questions and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class was 72.46, whereas the control class achieved 66.51. The Independent Samples T-Test showed values of t = 2.557, df = 89, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.012 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in students' conceptual understanding between the two classes. Thus, the implementation of the CORE learning model assisted by simple media yields better conceptual understanding compared to conventional learning on the topic of heat.

درک مفهومی یکی از جنبه‌های مهم یادگیری فیزیک است، به‌ویژه در موضوع گرما که دانش‌آموزان همچنان در فهم آن با دشواری مواجه هستند. بر اساس مشاهدات اولیه در دبیرستان SMAN 2 Tambang، دانش‌آموزان تمایل دارند مسائل را با استفاده از فرمول‌ها راحت‌تر حل کنند تا این‌که بتوانند معنای مفاهیم مورد مطالعه را توضیح دهند. هدف این پژوهش تعیین نحوه اجرا و تأثیر مدل یادگیری CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) با کمک رسانه‌های ساده بر درک مفهومی دانش‌آموزان در مبحث گرما در پایه یازدهم دبیرستان است. این پژوهش با روش شبه‌آزمایشی و طرح گروه کنترل فقط پس‌آزمون انجام شد. نمونه پژوهش شامل کلاس XI.1 به عنوان گروه آزمایش و کلاس XI.7 به عنوان گروه کنترل بود که با روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب شدند. گروه آزمایش با استفاده از مدل یادگیری CORE با کمک رسانه‌های ساده آموزش دید و گروه کنترل آموزش متداول دریافت کرد. داده‌های درک مفهومی از طریق پس‌آزمون شامل ۱۵ سؤال جمع‌آوری و با آزمون‌های نرمالیتی، همگنی و آزمون T مستقل تحلیل شد. نتایج نشان داد میانگین نمره پس‌آزمون برای کلاس آزمایش ۷۲.۴۶ و برای کلاس کنترل ۶۶.۵۱ بود. آزمون T مستقل مقادیر t = 2.557، df = 89 و Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.012 < 0.05 را نشان داد که بیانگر تفاوت معنادار در درک مفهومی دانش‌آموزان بین دو کلاس است. بنابراین، اجرای مدل یادگیری CORE با کمک رسانه‌های ساده نسبت به آموزش متداول در مبحث گرما، درک مفهومی بهتری را به همراه دارد.
