What predicts teacher professional collaboration? A servant leadership-based study in elementary schools

Mehmet Sabir Çevik Turkish Journal of Education, 2026, Issue Advanced Online Publ, pp. 266-289 https://doi.org/10.19128/turje.1886497

چکیده

Although professional collaboration among teachers plays a critical role in enhancing school effectiveness and instructional quality, empirical studies that jointly examine the organizational and individual determinants of this collaboration remain limited. This study aimed to identify variables that significantly predict the likelihood of elementary school teachers engaging in professional collaboration. The study employed a quantitative, cross-sectional, and correlational survey design. The sample consisted of 310 teachers working in elementary schools in the city center of Siirt, selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected using the Servant Leadership Scale and the Professional Collaboration subscale. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Results showed that school level, participation in professional activities, professional seniority, and principals’ servant leadership behaviors significantly predicted teachers’ likelihood of engaging in professional collaboration. In contrast, gender, marital status, educational status, length of time working with the school principal, and length of service at the school were not significant predictors. Overall, the findings highlight the role of servant leadership.

Structural barriers to student career preparedness: institutional perspectives from a historically disadvantaged South African University

Nosipho Carol Mavuso; Nobert Rangarirai Jere; Darelle vanGreunen Frontiers in Education, 2026, Vol. 11, pp. 1925318 https://doi.org/10.3389/feduc.2026.1925318

چکیده

In South Africa, the persistent issue of graduates being ill-prepared for the job market highlights the deep-seated inequalities within the country's higher education system. Often, employability is attributed to student motivation or individual “skills gaps,” but these explanations overlook the structural mismatches that affect the transition from university to employment. This paper explores how curriculum design, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), and the digital divide interact to contribute to career unpreparedness among students at a Historically Disadvantaged Institution (HDI) that serves many rural and low-income communities. This study addresses that gap by foregrounding the perspectives of institutional actors, lecturers, WIL coordinators, and academic advisors at a single HDI. Through an interpretivist qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with lecturers, WIL coordinators, and academic advisors, the paper examines how these institutional figures perceive the relationship among academic programmes, labour market demands, and students' real-life circumstances. The findings reveal that curriculum updates often lag behind the fast-evolving job sectors, particularly in Information and Communication Technology (ICT); that WIL systems are fragile due to limited placement opportunities, inconsistent employer engagement, and brief placement periods; and that students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds face compounded challenges, including transport costs, weak professional networks, barriers to digital access, and limited knowledge of recruitment platforms. Additionally, the study highlights that the digital divide extends beyond mere connectivity issues to encompass disparities in access to devices and data, digital confidence, and digitally facilitated career opportunities. Amidst the discourse on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), globalisation, sustainability, and equity in African higher education, this paper calls for a transformation of the curriculum to be more collaborative, data-informed, and attuned to social needs. It proposes strengthening partnerships with advisory boards, co-creating curricula with industry, employing AI tools to align curricula, and coordinating policies among universities, employers, the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), and technology developers. The paper concludes that improving graduate employability in South Africa requires more than technical reforms alone; it necessitates addressing the structural inequalities that shape who can transition from higher education to meaningful employment. The paper contributes a structural-misalignment framework, a clear distinction among empirically grounded, analytically derived, and forward-looking implications, and a methodologically transparent account of qualitative analysis in a sensitive institutional setting.

Interactive digital environments for grammar acquisition: evaluating digital practice modules in German as a foreign language

Nadia Naqrash; Mohammad Rayyan; Marwan Ali Jarrah Frontiers in Education, 2026, Vol. 11, pp. 1978272 https://doi.org/10.3389/feduc.2026.1978272

چکیده

Introduction This study evaluates interactive digital practice modules for grammar acquisition in German as a foreign language, focusing on verb-complement patterns involving verb meaning, complement selection, case marking, and prepositional choice. Drawing on construction-based pedagogy, it examines digitally supported retrieval practice, self-paced learning, response checking, and structured comparison. Methods The study analyzed an archived dataset of 61 Arabic-speaking university learners who participated in a six-week quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. The experimental group used interactive digital modules, while the control group received conventional instruction. Because the recovered test forms differed in length, scores were converted into percentages, although this adjustment could not ensure measurement equivalence. Results Both groups demonstrated statistically significant improvements in percentage scores from pretest to posttest. However, the difference in learning gains between the experimental and control groups was not statistically significant. Discussion The findings suggest that grammar learning improved under both instructional conditions without establishing a significant advantage for the digital modules. Because digital delivery and pedagogical organization varied simultaneously, their independent contributions could not be determined. Furthermore, percentage-based score conversion did not address potential differences in test difficulty, content coverage, or measurement precision. The study highlights the importance of comparable assessment instruments, transparent outcome measures, and designs capable of distinguishing technological effects from pedagogical effects in digitally mediated second language grammar instruction.

A Story-based Approach to Introducing Mass Measurement in Preschool Education

Darja Antolin Drešar Zbornik Odseka za pedagogiju, 2026, Issue 35, pp. 1-16 https://doi.org/10.19090/zop.2026.35.1-16

چکیده

Integrating mathematics with children's literature has emerged as a promising approach in early mathematics education. This study explores the use of the picture book Just a Little Bit (Tompert, 1997) as a pedagogical tool for introducing the concept of mass measurement to preschool children. The aim of the study was to design and implement story-based mathematical activities inspired by the narrative and to examine children's engagement and emerging understanding of mass comparison. The study involved 24 children aged 4–5 years attending a kindergarten in Slovenia. Six structured activities were conducted over a three-week period. Data were collected through systematic observation and analysis of children's drawings representing balance scales. The results indicate that the story stimulated children's interest and supported their engagement in measurement-related activities. Most children were able to distinguish between heavier and lighter objects and recognize the basic function of a balance scale, although only a small proportion accurately represented the direction of imbalance in their drawings. The findings suggest that children's literature can provide a meaningful context for introducing early mathematical concepts when combined with hands-on activities and guided discussion.

چکیده

School heads’ leadership practices, such as how they set direction, support instruction, and build trust, are consistently linked to teachers’ work satisfaction, which in turn shapes motivation, commitment, and retention. The main objective of this study was to determine the School Heads’ Instructional Leadership Practices and Teachers’ Work Satisfaction in selected districts of the Division of Bukidnon during the School Year 2026–2027. Specifically, this aimed to find out the level of respondents’ perception of school heads’ instructional leadership practices; ascertain the level of work satisfaction in terms of the motivator factor; and determine whether a relationship exists between school heads’ instructional leadership practices and teachers’ work satisfaction in terms of the hygiene factor and as well as motivator factor. The study used a descriptive-correlational design and included two hundred five (205) Key Stage 2 teachers selected through universal sampling. Data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire and analyzed using weighted mean, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. Findings showed that instructional leadership was highly practiced, especially in aligning the school vision. Teachers also reported high job satisfaction in both hygiene and motivator factors. Instructional leadership was positively related to teachers’ work satisfaction. It also significantly predicted work satisfaction, with school vision alignment being the strongest predictor. It is concluded that instructional leadership is most effective when school heads ensure that the school’s mission and academic goals are perfectly aligned with the school-wide program and the current DepEd curriculum standards. School heads should improve teamwork, teaching, resource use, staff training, recognition, and the school environment.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Probing Prompting terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Kelas VIII di MTsN 2 Kota Pariaman

Reza Amelia; Charles YASIN, 2026, Vol. 6, Issue 6, pp. 7843-7863 https://doi.org/10.58578/yasin.v6i6.12446

چکیده

Low learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and the prevalent use of conventional instructional models pose challenges in eighth-grade instruction at MTsN 2 Kota Pariaman. However, research specifically examining the effect of the probing–prompting model on PAI learning outcomes in this context remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the probing–prompting instructional model on eighth-grade students’ PAI learning outcomes at MTsN 2 Kota Pariaman. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample comprised 64 students selected through purposive sampling, including 32 students from class VIII.2 as the experimental group and 32 students from class VIII.3 as the control group. Data were collected through achievement tests administered as a pretest and a posttest and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity of variance tests, and an independent-samples t test with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a mean posttest score of 78.59, compared with 69.84 for the control group. The t test revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p < .001). These findings provide empirical evidence of higher PAI learning outcomes among students taught using the probing–prompting model. In practical terms, the findings support the use of this model as an alternative approach to PAI instruction that promotes student engagement through targeted questioning. Future research should involve larger samples, cover a broader range of instructional content, and examine students’ active participation, motivation, and critical thinking skills.

Pre-service early childhood education teachers’ views and competency levels regarding neurolinguistic-based STEAM applications in phonemic skills instruction

Yeldana K. Otegenova; Bulshekbayeva Assem; Gulbanu Tastanovna Abitova; Lazzat Madenova; Salima Seitenova Eurasia Journal of Mathematics Science and Technology Education, 2026, Vol. 22, Issue 11, pp. em2960 https://doi.org/10.29333/ejmste/19684

چکیده

The purpose of this study is to determine pre-service early childhood teachers’ views and perceived competency levels regarding neurolinguistic-based science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) applications in phonemic skills instruction, and to examine whether these perceptions differ significantly according to demographic (gender, age, and grade level) and professional/experiential (having received phonemic awareness training, STEAM experience, and familiarity with the concept of neurolinguistic programming [NLP]) variables. Adopting a descriptive survey design, one of the quantitative research methods, the study group consisted of 179 pre-service teachers enrolled in an early childhood education undergraduate program at one university in Kazakhstan. The research data were collected through a demographic information form, a structured views questionnaire, and a data collection tool measuring pre-service teachers’ perceived competency. The findings show that participants’ overall perceived competency was high. However, 36.9% of participants regarded phonemic awareness as a naturally developing process and 31.3% viewed STEAM as unrelated to language skills, which may indicate conceptual gaps; and although 41.9% stated that the art component made phoneme discrimination more concrete, 53.6% considered art either unrelated to phonemic awareness or merely entertaining. Perceived competency did not differ significantly by gender or age, whereas third-year pre-service teachers reported lower perceived competency than first- and second-year students; a “reality shock” after practicum is a possible but untested explanation, as practicum was not measured. In addition, pre-service teachers who had previously received phonemic awareness training, who had STEAM experience, and who were familiar with the concept of NLP reported significantly higher perceived competency. The findings suggest that teacher educators may consider adding applied, STEAM-integrated phonemic awareness modules supported by microteaching, including a critical examination of the evidence on NLP and learning-styles claims. The findings are limited by self-report data and a single-university convenience sample.

Beyond electricity and computers: How institutional information and communication infrastructure shapes teachers’ digital technology use in public junior secondary schools in Kakamega County, Kenya

Paul Okemwa Makori; Judah Mualuko Ndiku; Geoffrey Ababu Musera African Journal of Empirical Research, 2026, Vol. 7, Issue 4, pp. 1093-1102 https://doi.org/10.51867/ajernet.7.4.89

چکیده

Access to functional digital infrastructure is a prerequisite for teachers to convert information and communication Technology (ICT) competence into classroom practice, yet the quality and distribution of infrastructure remain uneven in many developing education systems. This paper examined the effect of the status of institutional ICT infrastructure and digital tools on teacher use of digital technologies in public junior schools (JS) in Kakamega County, Kenya. Relying on the Theory of Organizational Information Processing, the study used a convergent parallel mixed-methods design involving 332 responding JSS teachers, 11 Sub-County Directors of Education and observations from 78 schools. Factor analysis of 12 infrastructure indicators produced a factor-based index of 3.500, interpreted as good, although important differences were evident across infrastructure components. Electricity, computer rooms, broadband connectivity, and technical support were relatively strong, whereas specialized digital tools, suitable educational software and security mechanisms were weaker. Teachers most frequently identified inadequate computers/devices (26.8%) and unstable or absent internet connectivity (22.9%) as the leading infrastructure challenges. Pearson correlation showed a significant positive moderate relationship between infrastructure status and technology use (r = .417, p < .001). In Model 1, infrastructure significantly predicted technology use (B = .525, β approximately .417, p < .001; R² = .174). After adjustment for gender, age, education, teaching experience, subject and JSS enrolment, the detailed regression table reported B = .579, β = .465, t = 7.94, p < .001, R² = .473 and adjusted R² = .451. The null hypothesis was rejected. The paper concludes that functional infrastructure and appropriate digital tools are essential enabling conditions, but infrastructure development should address advanced tools, software, connectivity, maintenance and security rather than focusing only on basic provision. This study also recommends that the infrastructure budgets should move beyond hardware acquisition to include suitable educational software, specialized digital tools, maintenance, backups, antivirus protection and user-safety measures.

Timeliness and Delays of College Students on Payment of Tuition Fees as Basis in Crafting Monitoring Plan

Maureen Alpanta International Journal of Education, Research, and Innovation Perspectives, 2026, Vol. 2, Issue 10 https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23748556

چکیده

This study assessed the timeliness and delays in the payment of tuition fees among college students at Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc. (MPCI) during the academic year 2026 as the foundational basis for crafting a responsive financial monitoring plan. Employing a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design, the study gathered data from 60 randomly selected college students across six academic programs. Statistical analysis including frequencies, means, t-tests, Pearson correlation, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) revealed that gender, course, year level, primary sponsor, and parental occupation exhibited no significant relationship with payment timeliness. Instead, punctuality was strongly tied to situational and behavioral dynamics. The findings demonstrated that timely tuition fee payments exert a very high positive impact on students’ academic and administrative fluidity and psychosocial stability, effectively removing administrative barriers and mitigating social stigmas. Conversely, delayed payments generated severe ramifications, acting as a direct catalyst for significant institutional bottlenecks and profound socio-economic and emotional barriers, including heightened exam-week anxiety and dropout tendencies. Income volatility due to seasonal agricultural livelihoods and emergency health expenses were identified as the primary economic triggers of payment friction. Alongside, clear institutional communication, accessible payment infrastructure, and strict policy enforcement acted as crucial external determinants of student compliance. While payment timeliness remained uniform across demographics, a significant difference emerged between genders regarding their financial responsibility styles and administrative engagement methods. Based on these insights, a comprehensive Monitoring Plan is proposed to transition the institution from a reactive to a proactive financial framework, optimizing collections while safeguarding student well-being.

INTERNALISASI NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM MATERI IBADAH SALAT KITAB FATHUL QORIB DI PESANTREN

Yustianingsih Yustianingsih; Latifatus Sa'adah EDUCATOR Jurnal Inovasi Tenaga Pendidik dan Kependidikan, 2026, Vol. 6, Issue 4, pp. 1674-1684 https://doi.org/10.51878/educator.v6i4.16020

چکیده

Instruction of prayer fiqh in pesantren goes beyond merely teaching the procedures and regulations of worship, it also plays a role in shaping the religious attitudes and habits of the students. Therefore, it is necessary to examine how the material regarding the fiqh of prayer is understood and instilled, so that Islamic values can be applied in daily life. This research aims to analyze the internalization of Islamic education values in the prayer worship material in the book Fathul Qorib by Ibn Qasim al-Ghazi at Al Huda Kunduran Islamic Boarding School. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data were obtained through observations of the Fathul Qorib learning process and interviews with the pesantren caretaker, ustadz, and santri. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by comparing information from various sources. The research results show that the prayer material in Fathul Qorib includes obligatory conditions, valid conditions, pillars, Sunnah, things that invalidate prayer, the number of prayer units, congregational prayer, qashar and jama’, as well as several special prayers. The material serves as the foundation for instilling values of faith, discipline, responsibility, and morality. The internalization of values is carried out through classical learning, sorogan, habituation of congregational prayers, supervision, advice, and the exemplary behavior of caregivers and teachers. The process is supported by the pesantren environment, direct interaction with teachers, and a culture of collective learning. Meanwhile, the obstacles include differences in the ability to read religious texts, limited references, fatigue, and inconsistency among some students. The novelty of the research lies in revealing the connection between the fiqh of prayer material, the study of the Yellow Book, and the internalization of values until they are manifested in the religious habits of the students. The research results show that the study of Fathul Qorib not only strengthens the understanding of fiqh but also internalizes the values of faith, discipline, responsibility, and morality through learning, habituation, supervision, and exemplary behavior.

Muhamad Rifai; Bina Prima Panggayuh; Dwi Ramadan; Ikhsan Maulana Fauzi; Ahmad Muzzammil Ikhlas Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Islam, 2026, Vol. 3, Issue 4, pp. 48-65 https://doi.org/10.61132/ikhlas.v3i4.2586

چکیده

This study aims to analyze the integration of social reconstruction and technological models in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum as an effort to balance the intellectual tradition of Islam with the demands of social change and technological development. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were obtained from relevant scholarly literature, including journal articles, books, and academic documents addressing curriculum development, social reconstruction models, technological models, and Islamic education. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically by comparing the characteristics, orientations, strengths, and limitations of both models to formulate an appropriate integration framework for PAI curriculum development. The findings indicate that the social reconstruction model provides a foundation for the PAI curriculum to respond to social issues, develop critical awareness, and promote social transformation, while the technological model strengthens instructional systems through competency-oriented learning, technology utilization, and measurable evaluation. Integrating the two models produces a PAI curriculum framework that remains rooted in Islamic intellectual traditions while being adaptive to social change, technological developments, and students’ needs. Thus, their integration can serve as a strategic alternative for developing a relevant, contextual, and socially transformative PAI curriculum.

Critique-mediated lesson redesign as a perspective on emerging pedagogical reasoning: Preservice mathematics teachers teaching the equal sign

Zaheera Jina Asvat; Shalom Nokuthula Ndhlovana African Journal of Teacher Education and Development, 2026, Vol. 5, Issue 1, pp. a230 https://doi.org/10.4102/ajoted.v5i1.230

چکیده

Background: Preservice teachers may solve equality tasks correctly while still explaining them procedurally, suggesting that correct performance does not necessarily reflect a relational understanding of the equal sign. When planning lessons, they must translate their mathematical understanding into instructional decisions, making lesson redesign a useful context for examining developing pedagogical reasoning. Aim: This study explored what critique-mediated lesson redesign revealed about preservice mathematics teachers’ emerging pedagogical reasoning when planning Grade 7 lessons on the equal sign. Setting: The study took place in a mathematics methodology course at a South African university. Methods: A qualitative multiple-case artefact-analysis design was used. Three group lesson redesigns were compared using lesson plans, written rationales and lecturer critique. The Knowledge Structures of Teaching in Emerging Practice (K-STEP) framework was used to interpret how the groups’ reasoning developed during redesign. Results: Redesign prompted greater attention to relational meanings of the equal sign, conceptual sequencing and learner understanding, although procedural routines and limited responses to anticipated learner thinking persisted. Conclusion: Critique-mediated lesson redesign made visible the uneven nature of developing pedagogical reasoning. The groups began to move towards more relational and learner-responsive lesson designs, although this development remained incomplete. Contribution: The study shows how lesson redesign can be used not only to improve planning but also to explore how preservice teachers interpret, revise and justify instructional decisions.

چکیده

The purpose of this study is to give an overview of the evolution of digital learning paradigms, its implementation in Indian institutions and the challenges and opportunities which it provides. The review also seeks to identify gaps in the current research that can be used to direct future empirical and theoretical research. The study adopts a systematic literature review methodology to explore the academic literature on the topic of online education and digital learning paradigm in India. Secondary data sources such as peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, government reports, policy documents and institutional publications were referred for the exhaustive review of literature. The search strings and keywords used were in various combinations such as online education, digital learning, distance education, e-learning, MOOCs, SWAYAM, OER and ICT in education and e-learning in Indian higher education. Only English-language publications that had an Indian focus were considered. To ensure comprehensive coverage, conceptual, empirical and review studies were included. The literature was broken down into themes and the following main categories were identified: distance learning, online education models, digital learning technologies, OER initiatives and national educational platforms. This systematic synthesis enables the structured understanding of the developments, trends and research gaps in the field. It is evident in the literature that low completion rates, lack of multilingual content, digital divide issues as well as a lack of learner engagement and mentoring, are still issues. However, the platforms are crucial for lifelong learning and skill development.

DUAL-INTEGRATION DRIVEN: A STUDY ON THE REFORM OF THE IDEOLOGICAL AND POLITICAL EDUCATION TEACHING MODEL IN THE COURSE "INTRODUCTION TO SMART TOURISM"

Shan Tong World Journal of Educational Studies, 2026, Vol. 4, Issue 11, pp. 38-42 https://doi.org/10.61784/wjes3215

چکیده

Addressing the structural imbalance in smart tourism course teaching—characterized by "emphasizing technical principles while neglecting value guidance, and prioritizing case introductions over critical thinking and character cultivation"—this study takes the ideological and political education (IPE) reform of the course "Introduction to Smart Tourism" as its vehicle to construct a "dual-integration driven" teaching model. This model is driven by two wheels: interdisciplinary integration and industry-education integration. It systematically excavates the IPE elements embedded in the course, including cultural confidence, ecological protection, rural revitalization, red heritage, technological self-reliance, and data ethics. By building a full-chain IPE implementation system of "theoretical immersion—case discussion—project practice—evaluation feedback," and relying on a localized typical case database and a government-enterprise-university collaborative education platform, the model enables students to advance from "technical cognition" to "value internalization" and further to "professional practice." A three-year teaching practice shows that this model effectively enhances students' cultural identity, technological ethics awareness, and cross-cultural narrative ability, providing a replicable practical paradigm for similar universities to carry out IPE construction in smart tourism courses.

Roland R. Tuliao; M. D. Pastor; G. M. Bagaoisan American Journal of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, 2026, Vol. 2, Issue 2, pp. 91-101 https://doi.org/10.54536/ajelps.v2i2.8727

چکیده

This study identified the competency needs of emerging school leaders in financial management, strategic partnerships, and project implementation as a basis for developing a capability building program. Using a descriptive research design integrated with a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the study involved 68 emerging school leaders, specifically Head Teachers and newly appointed School Heads with zero to three years of leadership experience in a public schools division in Northern Luzon, Philippines. The researchers gathered data using a competency needs assessment survey aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH). The findings revealed that financial management was identified as a Moderate Training Need, while strategic partnerships and project implementation were identified as Extensive Training Needs. Based on these findings, the STEP UP! (Strengthening and Training Emerging Personnel for Upgraded Performance) Capability-Building Program was developed to address the identified competency gaps. The program subsequently underwent expert validation and pilot implementation. Validation results indicated an overall rating of Very Highly Valid, demonstrating strong alignment with competency needs, professional standards, content requirements, and implementation mechanisms. Evaluation based on Kirkpatrick’s Four-Level Model further showed that the program was highly effective, as participants reported positive reactions, increased knowledge and skills, successful application of learning in the workplace, and perceived improvements in leadership performance and school operations. The study concludes that a needs-based and standards-aligned capability-building program can effectively strengthen the competencies of emerging school leaders and contribute to improved school governance, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation.

Nigora Shobekova Tamaddun nuri., 2026, Vol. 10, Issue 85 (I qism), pp. 150-153 https://doi.org/10.69691/qsz8y679

چکیده

An educational process organized based on an integrative approach significantly enhances the level of meta-competence among prospective primary school teachers. This article analyzes a four-component model for developing meta-competence (comprising goal-oriented, content-related, technological, and outcome-based dimensions) and evaluates its effectiveness through a pedagogical experiment. The study involved 519 students from the pedagogical institutes of Andijan and Namangan, as well as Navoi State University (divided into experimental and control groups). The results showed a substantial improvement in meta-competencies within the experimental group, whereas no significant changes were observed in the control group. These findings are particularly relevant, as they can be utilized to refine educational modules and assessment tools within higher pedagogical education institutions.

Problematika Metode Tahfiz Juz’i dalam Hafalan Juz 'Amma Siswa di SDN 07 Lembah Melintang Pasaman Barat

Muhammad Fikri; Alimir YASIN, 2026, Vol. 6, Issue 6, pp. 7864-7885 https://doi.org/10.58578/yasin.v6i6.12451

چکیده

The tahfiz juz’i method helps students memorize the Qur’an gradually. However, its implementation in Juz ‘Amma memorization instruction continues to face various challenges, particularly among third-grade students at SDN 07 Lembah Melintang, Pasaman Barat. This study aimed to describe the challenges in implementing the tahfiz juz’i method and teachers’ efforts to address them. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data trustworthiness was assessed through source and methodological triangulation. The findings revealed that implementation challenges included differences in students’ Qur’anic reading and memorization abilities, limitations in memory and concentration, varying levels of learning motivation, limited teacher time for individual guidance, and uneven family support for murajaah at home. Teachers’ efforts included assigning memorization tasks gradually, strengthening motivation, adapting memorization targets to students’ abilities, establishing regular murajaah routines, correcting tajwid and letter articulation, and collaborating with parents. These findings provide an empirical account of the challenges in implementing tahfiz juz’i instruction at the elementary school level and teachers’ efforts to address them. The study underscores the importance of guidance tailored to students’ abilities and collaboration between schools and families in supporting Qur’anic memorization instruction. Practical implications include the need to adjust memorization targets and ensure continuity of guidance at school and at home. Future research should include more research sites and longer observation periods to gain a deeper understanding of the implementation of the tahfiz juz’i method.
