eLife

eLife یک ناشر علمی غیرانتفاعی، داوری‌شده و دسترسی آزاد در حوزه علوم زیست‌پزشکی و علوم زیستی است. این نشریه در پایان سال ۲۰۱۲ توسط مؤسسه Howard Hughes Medical Institute، انجمن Max Planck Society و بنیاد Wellcome Trust تأسیس شد که این اقدام پس از برگزاری کارگاهی در سال ۲۰۱۰ در مرکز پژوهشی Janelia Farm Research Campus صورت گرفت. این سازمان‌ها به طور مشترک تأمین مالی اولیه برای حمایت از فعالیت‌های تجاری و انتشاراتی را فراهم کردند. در سال ۲۰۱۶، این سازمان‌ها مبلغ ۲۶ میلیون دلار آمریکا را برای ادامه انتشار این نشریه تعهد کردند.

eLife is a not-for-profit, peer-reviewed, open access, science publisher for the biomedical and life sciences. It was established at the end of 2012 by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Max Planck Society, and Wellcome Trust, following a workshop held in 2010 at the Janelia Farm Research Campus. Together, these organizations provided the initial funding to support the business and publishing operations. In 2016, the organizations committed US$26 million to continue publication of the journal.
