Journal of Regional Science

مجله علوم منطقه‌ای (Journal of Regional Science) یک نشریه علمی با داوری همتا است که توسط Wiley-Blackwell منتشر می‌شود. پیش از این مجله، تنها نشریه Papers and Proceedings of the Regional Science Association در حوزه علوم منطقه‌ای فعالیت می‌کرد. این مجله در سال ۱۹۵۸ تأسیس شد و توسط مؤسسه پژوهشی علوم منطقه‌ای در فیلادلفیا که اکنون منحل شده است، منتشر می‌گردید. سردبیران فعلی این مجله عبارت‌اند از: Steven Brakman، N. Edward Coulson (دانشگاه کالیفرنیا - ایرواین)، Alessandra Faggian، Yasusada Murata (دانشگاه Nihon) و Siqi Zheng. نویسندگان این مجله در رشته‌های مختلف دانشگاهی فعالیت دارند، اما رشته‌های اقتصاد، جغرافیا، اقتصاد کشاورزی، جامعه‌شناسی روستایی، برنامه‌ریزی شهری و منطقه‌ای و مهندسی عمران غالب هستند. مقالات این مجله عمدتاً تجربی و گاه روش‌شناختی یا نظری هستند، اما همواره رویکرد کمی دارند.

The Journal of Regional Science is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Wiley-Blackwell. Proceeded in the field of Regional Science only by Papers and Proceedings of the Regional Science Association, the JRS was established in 1958 and published by the now-defunct Regional Science Research Institute in Philadelphia. The current Managing Editors are Steven Brakman, N. Edward Coulson(University of California - Irvine), Alessandra Faggian, Yasusada Murata (Nihon University, and Siqi Zheng. Contributors hold positions in a variety of academic disciplines, but dominated by economics, geography, agricultural economics, rural sociology, urban and regional planning, and civil engineering. Articles are usually empirical, occasionally methodological or theoretical, but always quantitative.
