Individuals’ perceptions and behaviors may vary based on the culture to which they belong. Environmental studies within cultural contexts have piqued the interest of professionals in architecture and psychology. Because colour plays an important role in creating a specific environment and responses to colour were equivocal, this study investigates colour preferences across different types of venues. Using a qualitative research method, it examines the impact of colour on cultural codes in interior spaces of various dwelling typologies. A literature study and comparative analysis were carried out in Türkiye, Japan, and Norway. Culture, colour perception, interior design, colour use in interior spaces, housing typology, colour use in housing, and the cultural significance of colour were all investigated. The study also examined the cross-cultural meanings of colour perception in interior design within housing typologies, as well as the common and differing aspects of colour preferences, material usage, and spatial atmosphere observed in Turkish, Japanese, and Norwegian housing, by relating existing studies to the research topic. Thus, the goal was to add to the literature by undertaking thorough and methodical research. Because this study also includes an intercultural assessment of colours, the Natural Colour System (NCS) was chosen as a reference for the analysis. The use of a global standards framework for globally correct colour definitions is critical to this research.

ادراک‌ها و رفتارهای افراد ممکن است بر اساس فرهنگی که به آن تعلق دارند متفاوت باشد. مطالعات محیطی در بسترهای فرهنگی توجه متخصصان معماری و روان‌شناسی را به خود جلب کرده است. از آنجا که رنگ نقش مهمی در ایجاد یک محیط خاص ایفا می‌کند و واکنش‌ها به رنگ مبهم بوده است، این پژوهش به بررسی ترجیحات رنگی در انواع مختلف فضاها می‌پردازد. با استفاده از روش پژوهش کیفی، تأثیر رنگ بر کدهای فرهنگی در فضاهای داخلی گونه‌های مختلف مسکونی بررسی می‌شود. مطالعه مروری و تحلیل تطبیقی در ترکیه، ژاپن و نروژ انجام شده است. فرهنگ، ادراک رنگ، طراحی داخلی، کاربرد رنگ در فضاهای داخلی، گونه‌شناسی مسکن، کاربرد رنگ در مسکن و اهمیت فرهنگی رنگ همگی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته‌اند. این پژوهش همچنین معانی بین‌فرهنگی ادراک رنگ در طراحی داخلی در گونه‌شناسی مسکن، و جنبه‌های مشترک و متفاوت ترجیحات رنگی، استفاده از مصالح و جو فضایی مشاهده‌شده در خانه‌های ترکیه‌ای، ژاپنی و نروژی را با ارتباط دادن مطالعات موجود به موضوع پژوهش بررسی کرده است. بنابراین هدف، افزودن به ادبیات موضوع از طریق انجام پژوهشی جامع و روشمند بوده است. از آنجا که این پژوهش شامل ارزیابی بین‌فرهنگی رنگ‌ها نیز می‌شود، سیستم رنگ طبیعی (NCS) به عنوان مرجع برای تحلیل انتخاب شده است. استفاده از چارچوب استاندارد جهانی برای تعریف صحیح رنگ‌ها در سطح جهانی برای این پژوهش حیاتی است.
