چکیده

The increasing participation of women in the workforce has been accompanied by growing professional and personal demands that may affect the psychological well-being of career women. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that approximately 15% of the working-age population experiences mental health problems, while work-related pressures contribute to approximately 12 billion lost working days annually. These conditions highlight the importance of resilience as a psychological resource that enables career women to adapt, recover, and function effectively when facing workplace challenges. This study aimed to examine the predictive relationships of self-esteem and emotion regulation with resilience among career women. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed involving 200 career women in Semarang City, Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring self-esteem, emotion regulation, and resilience on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 through the evaluation of the measurement model, structural model, and hypothesis testing using a bootstrapping procedure. The findings showed that self-esteem and emotion regulation were positive predictors of resilience among career women. Self-esteem demonstrated a relatively stronger contribution than emotion regulation, while the overall model explained part of the variance in resilience. These findings indicate that career women with more positive self-esteem and better emotion regulation tend to demonstrate greater resilience. The study highlights the importance of self-esteem and emotion regulation as psychological resources that may be considered in organizational programs aimed at supporting women's resilience, psychological well-being, and sustainable career development. ABSTRAK Meningkatnya partisipasi perempuan dalam dunia kerja diikuti dengan semakin kompleksnya tuntutan profesional dan kehidupan personal yang berpotensi memengaruhi kondisi psikologis wanita karier. Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) melaporkan bahwa sekitar 15% penduduk usia produktif mengalami gangguan mental, sementara tekanan kerja menyebabkan hilangnya sekitar 12 miliar hari kerja setiap tahun.

Awareness of Youth-Friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health Services among Undergraduate Students at Saint Augustine University of Tanzania, Mwanza, Tanzania: A Cross-Sectional Study

Frank Deus Samson; Paskas Wagana; Johnson Mavole International journal of social sciences and humanities review, 2026

چکیده

Background: Awareness of youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services (YFSRHS) is an important starting point for enabling young people to identify and seek appropriate sexual and reproductive health information and care. However, awareness of these services may vary across settings, including higher education institutions. Objective: To determine the level of awareness of YFSRHS among undergraduate students at Saint Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT), Malimbe Campus. Methods: A quantitative descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among undergraduate students at SAUT Malimbe Campus. Data were collected using a structured, self-administered questionnaire. Of 109 questionnaires distributed, 108 completed questionnaires were included in the analysis. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize students’ awareness and reported sources of information. Results: Of the 108 respondents, 96 (88.9%) reported having heard of YFSRHS, while 12 (11.1%) had not. Social media was the most frequently reported source of information (44.0%), followed by friends or peers (41.0%) and health facilities (36.0%). University programmes and posters or advertisements were reported less frequently. Conclusion: Most respondents had heard of YFSRHS, with social media and peer networks serving as prominent information channels. Strengthening accurate information through these channels, alongside university-based communication, may help address the awareness gap among students who remain unreached.

The Relationship between Gadget Addiction Level and Tantrum Behavior in Children Aged 4-6 Years

Lutfia Habibah; Ni Ketut Somoyani; Asep Arifin Senjaya Journal of Multidisciplinary Science MIKAILALSYS, 2026, Vol. 4, Issue 3, pp. 8922-8935 https://doi.org/10.58578/mikailalsys.v4i3.12498

چکیده

Early childhood is a critical period for emotional development and behavioral regulation. Increasing digital device use among young children has raised concerns about its association with tantrum behavior, although research examining addiction-related use rather than screen duration alone remains limited. This study aimed to examine the relationship between gadget addiction levels and tantrum behavior among children aged 4–6 years at Widya Santhi Buana Kindergarten, West Denpasar District. A quantitative correlational approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 45 parents or guardians recruited through total sampling. Data were collected on April 15, 2026, through online questionnaires administered using Google Forms. The instruments comprised an adapted Digital Addiction Scale for Children with 25 items, which demonstrated high internal consistency during pilot testing (Cronbach’s α = .977), and the 31-item Rating Scale of Angry Emotional Behavior and Temper Tantrum. Univariate analysis summarized the distributions of gadget addiction levels and tantrum behavior, while Spearman’s rank correlation assessed their relationship. The results showed that 48.9% of children were classified as having moderate gadget addiction levels. Regarding tantrum behavior, 53.3% were classified as exhibiting no tantrum behavior, whereas 22.2% were classified as exhibiting severe tantrum behavior. A strong, positive, and statistically significant correlation was identified between gadget addiction levels and tantrum behavior (ρ = .641, p < .001). Higher parent-reported gadget addiction levels were therefore associated with greater tantrum severity within the participating group. The cross-sectional design and reliance on parent-reported measures limit causal interpretation. These findings may inform parent education concerning supervised device use and consistent family rules. Further research should include larger samples, examine parenting styles and other relevant factors, and use longitudinal designs to clarify the direction of the relationship.

Mediating Role of Loneliness in the Relationship Between Physical Activity Enjoyment and Mental Well-Being in Athletes

Emrah Seçer; Hasan Kuleli; Anıl Türkeli; Fatih Kaya International Journal of Disabilities Sports & Health Sciences, 2026, Vol. 9, Issue 4, pp. 251-265 https://doi.org/10.33438/ijdshs.1974940

چکیده

Although physical activity enjoyment is associated with athletes’ psychological outcomes, the mechanisms underlying its relationship with mental well-being remain unclear. This study examined the mediating role of loneliness among athletes. A correlational survey design was employed. The participants consisted of 350 athletes selected through criterion sampling, including 178 females (Mage= 20.58 ± 1.99) and 172 males (Mage= 21.91 ± 4.88). Data were collected using the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale, UCLA Loneliness Scale–Short Form, and Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale. Pearson correlation analysis and PROCESS Macro Model 4 mediation analysis were conducted, and indirect effects were tested using 5,000 bootstrap samples. Physical activity enjoyment was positively associated with mental well-being (r= .586, p< .01) and negatively associated with loneliness (a= −.196, p< .01). Loneliness was negatively associated with mental well-being (b= −.447, p< .01). The mediation analysis revealed a significant indirect effect of physical activity enjoyment on mental well-being through loneliness (indirect effect= .088, 95% CI [.026, .147]). These findings indicate that enjoyment of physical activity contributes to athletes’ mental well-being and that loneliness partially explains this relationship. The results emphasize the importance of considering social connectedness and psychological experiences in understanding athletes’ well-being.

AI Companionship and Psychological Well-Being Among Gen Z Adults: A Cross-Sectional Correlational Study

Dhruti Gajiwala International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR), 2026, Vol. 15, Issue 10, pp. 2068-2070 https://doi.org/10.21275/sr261029233607

چکیده

This study examined the relationship between AI companionship- operationalized as attachment anxiety and avoidance toward AI- and psychological well-being among 50 Gen Z adults (aged 18-29) in India. Using the Experiences in Human-AI Relationships Scale (EHARS) and the WHO-5 Well-Being Index, the study found no significant associations between attachment to AI and well-being. These findings, though limited by sample size and design constraints, contribute to the growing literature on human-AI relationships in non-Western contexts.
