This study examines how peer learning, mentoring, and alumni engagement jointly relate to student employability, using bibliometric and thematic analysis of 117 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus (2010–2025). Publications increased markedly after 2019, reflecting growing scholarly interest in this area. Three interdependent thematic clusters emerged: peer learning as a foundation for teaching and learning practice; mentoring and experiential learning as supports for post-graduation career development; and alumni relations as a bridge between universities and workplaces. Based on these patterns, the study proposes a developmental ecosystem model of employability integrating pedagogy, relationships, and experiential learning, and suggests management education is shifting toward experiential, network-based approaches.
Abstract This study examines whether and how RME can be performed as an epistemic object to broaden business schools’ education on climate change. The research builds on a qualitative case study involving 10 Finnish business schools. The analysis reveals that RME is performed as both an epistemic object and a boundary object, with different implications for its embeddedness within institutions. Our findings show how accreditations have introduced RME as a boundary object enforcing performativity around sustainability themes yet enabling disciplines to maintain their distinct or limited roles. At the same time, RME is met with both resistance and compliance, depending on how well the object fits with disciplinary boundaries and career trajectories. Lastly, as an epistemic object, RME encourages co‐reflexivity, which is essential for climate‐proofing business schools. We discuss the possibilities of a hybrid orientation of RME as both a boundary object and an epistemic object for enforcing climate‐orientation in management education.
Vocational education has a strategic role in preparing competent graduates according to the needs of the world of work. As the green economy develops and the Society 5.0 era, graduates are not only required to have technical competencies, but also green skills as a provision to face the transformation of the world of work. Green skills are one of the 21st century skills needed to adjust products, services, and processes to be environmentally friendly. There is a need for an improvement in education and a change in mindset or a more advanced mindset in terms of environmental awareness. Teaching modules play an important role in learning independence, the latest in this research is in modules that are environmentally oriented explicitly in non-science materials. These findings indicate that the application of e-modules in other fields such as learning in office management is still relatively limited, so it is a research opportunity that needs to be developed. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach to produce environmentally friendly e-modules in correspondence materials. Product development follows the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The product trial uses a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design, which involves an experimental group and a control group that are given a pretest and posttest, respectively. The results of the study show that the feasibility level based on material experts is 85% and media experts 93% with an overall average in the category of suitable for use. The response from students obtained an average percentage of 87% with the category of very good. It can be concluded that the environmentally friendly e-module in the correspondence material was declared effective in improving green skills at SMKN 1 Wonomerto. ABSTRAK Pendidikan vokasi memiliki peran strategis dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang kompeten sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja. Purpose: This study examines the role of individual management educators in implementing Responsible Management Education (RME). It addresses a critical gap in the literature, which has disproportionately focused on institutional adoption and programme-level commitments rather than the agency, practices, and development of academics who translate these principles into reality. Methodology: Following PRISMA guidelines, this systematic literature review identified 42 peer-reviewed articles from Google Scholar (2000–2025). The data were analyzed using the inductive Gioia methodology to capture educators' actions and mapped against the UN’s seven Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). Findings: The review synthesizes individual academic action into four interconnected, mutually reinforcing themes: curriculum revisions, enhanced external engagement, embodiment of pedagogical changes, and academic development in teaching, learning, and researching (TLR). Crucially, academic development serves as the foundational connective thread, empowering educators with the research capability, credibility, and peer support required to drive the other three dimensions. Implications: For academics, the study demonstrates that RME is enacted through everyday choices in classroom pedagogy and collaborative research. For business school leadership, it highlights that institutional change requires actively supporting educators through protected time, mentoring, and revised workload and promotion incentives that reward responsible scholarship. Originality: By shifting the unit of analysis from the institution to the individual academic, this paper addresses why top-level PRME commitments often decouple into symbolic rhetoric. It contributes to a dynamic conceptual framework that models the individual educator as the central change agent orchestrating curriculum revision, pedagogical innovation, external collaboration, and scholarship. Limitations and directions for future research: This review primarily draws literature from Google Scholar and provides an interpretive thematic synthesis. Future research should empirically validate the framework through surveys and interviews across diverse geographic and developing-economy contexts, while further exploring the under-researched PRME Practice principle. Educational support for nurses is essential to promote oral health management education for patients with diabetes. However, few studies have focused on supporting nurses in this context. This study explored the effects of an audiovisual material designed to support nurses’ patient education on oral health management in diabetes care. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight certified diabetes nurse educators. Data were analyzed using content analysis. Four main themes emerged: (1) enhancement of nurses’ individual learning (8/8 participants), including improved knowledge of the connection between oral health and diabetes; (2) promotion of professional development and reflection (5/8); (3) provision of new insights into patient care (7/8), particularly regarding patient motivation strategies; and (4) identification of implementation considerations in diabetes outpatient settings. The findings suggest that the audiovisual material, designed to complement an existing evidence-based educational guide, was perceived as useful and may support nurses’ learning and educational practices related to oral health education for patients with diabetes.

Abstract This study examined the influence of practical components of Business Education on the production of globally competitive graduates in public universities in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study focused on practical training in Accounting Education, Entrepreneurship Education, Office Management Education, and Marketing and Distributive Education. A descriptive survey design was adopted, drawing data from final-year Business Education students in the two public universities in the state through a structured questionnaire. Data were analysed using appropriate inferential statistical techniques to determine the individual and joint effects of the practical components on graduate global competitiveness. The findings indicate that practical components in Accounting Education, Entrepreneurship Education, and Marketing and Distributive Education significantly enhance the production of globally competitive graduates, while Office Management Education did not demonstrate a significant influence in its current form. The combined effect of all four practical components was also significant, highlighting the value of integrated practical training in Business Education programmes. The study contributes to business education scholarship by providing empirical evidence on how complementary practical components jointly shape graduate readiness for the global workforce. It offers practical insights for curriculum development by identifying priority areas for strengthening hands-on training and repositioning Office Management Education to better align with contemporary global competence demands.

As workplaces become increasingly complicated, a new type of teaching and learning needs to emerge that can effectively combine theory with skill development in HE. Many attention has been paid to the way in which game-based learning has developed in the context of digital simulation, and yet the vast majority of existing research focuses on that medium while not actually addressing board games from a conceptual and empirical perspective. The purpose of this study is to define how board games can be understood as experiential microsimulations that can provide a formally structured method for developing structured skills in project management education. This study is based on experiential learning theory and frameworks for competency-based education, and we will conduct an empirical study to test a conceptual model that explains the relationship between board game-based learning, cognitive activation, strategic decision-making, collaborative behaviors, and risk-based reasoning, and, ultimately, how these activities improve project management skills. The research will use a mixed-methods approach, which will consist of conducting quantitative research in the context of a fourth-year industrial engineering project management course, and gathering qualitative data through students' written reflections. The findings of this research indicate that the use of board games has proven to be an effective way of creating structured experiential ecosystems for engaging students cognitively and in cooperative processes, and that these two processes will in turn significantly predict the acquisition of competencies. Additionally, the results of the research will provide evidence of the mediation effects of active engagement mechanisms with respect to the creation of professional skill development through the experiential learning process. Through theory, this study extends and builds upon simulation theories (micro-level) and their use in non-digital gaming environments (micro-level) by providing a theoretically grounded model of game-based (non-digital) experiential learning, as well as providing action-oriented information for curriculum design that incorporates structured experiential micro-simulations into management education. Additionally, the results of this study generate future areas for longitudinal and cross-contextual research regarding competency-based innovation in higher education.
